This is my KLR.

There are many like it but this one is mine.

My KLR is my best friend.

It is my life.

I must master it as I must master my life.

My KLR, without me, is useless.

Without my KLR I am useless.

My KLR is human, even as I, because it is my life.

Thus, I will learn it as my brother.

I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories.

I will keep my KLR clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready.

We will become part of each other.

Love your photo of “Slave House located at the Prestwould Plantation.” Would you be willing to let our museum use a copy of the image in an exhibit catalog? We might be able to offer a small compensation.

Also, how would you like to be credited for the photo? We have a tight deadline, so if we don’t hear from you by 5 PM on 11/7/2016, we plan to say, “Courtesy of A. Watkins at klrmad.wordpress.com.”
